Type: Full Time – Monday to Friday
Location: Mayzo Operations Center in Walterboro, SC
Compensation: $30 per hour
Overview:
Mayzo is seeking a Production Machine Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machinery for processing, production, and distribution. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, minimizing downtime, and ensuring smooth production flow.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, and adjust machinery to meet daily production goals.
- Set up equipment based on job specifications and production schedules.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and report malfunctions.
- Perform quality control checks on finished products for weight, density, and consistency.
- Document production data and equipment readings accurately.
- Clean equipment and work areas according to safety and sanitation protocols.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues and collaborate with maintenance personnel.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Assist in warehouse operations, as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required, technical training a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience operating industrial or manufacturing equipment preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn and operate specialized machinery
- Forklift experience
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, production orders, and safety guidelines
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Comfortable working in a production environment with noise, dust, and variable temperatures
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork
